How we write our articles

Last updated: 11 October 2026

This page explains who writes the articles on pcosweightloss.app, how they are made and checked, where their facts come from, and how to tell us about a mistake. We would rather tell you plainly than imply expertise we do not have.

Who writes them

The articles are published by the PCOS Weight Loss team, published by ICHIME COMPANY LIMITED. PCOS Weight Loss is not a medical provider. No doctor, dietitian or other clinician writes or reviews each article before it is published, so you will not find a named expert or a credential on them.

Two kinds of pages

Our main guides and app pages are written by people on the team. The articles under /blog are drafted with AI assistance, as described below.

How an article is made

Checks before anything is published

Every draft has to pass automated checks before it can go live. If a check fails, the draft is rewritten once against the specific problem; if it still fails, it is not published. The automated checks are:

The safety rules above are instructions to the writer, not an automated check, which is one more reason every article carries the health notice below.

People on the team write these rules and the fact list, and look over samples of published articles. Individual articles are not reviewed by a clinician.

Where the facts come from

Most of our articles explain meals with the app's meal score. The fact list's figures about the score mirror its published method:

The score's references are general nutrition references, not clinical targets, and nutrition figures estimated from a photo are estimates. Our articles do not yet cite outside studies; when one does, it will name and link the source. See how the score works.

Health information

Our articles are general nutrition information, not medical advice. Figures are estimates. Talk to a doctor or dietitian about your own needs. Every article carries this notice where you can see it.

Updates and corrections

We revise an article when the guidance it relies on changes, or when we find or are told about an error. If something looks wrong, please email support@ichime.dev with the page address, and we will check it and correct it.
